Current SLS Dresscode
Boys
The following articles of clothing comprise the boys’ dress code. They may be worn in any combination provided that the
basic rules are followed. The dress code for boys consists of a dress shirt and tie, optional sweater, dress slacks, and dress
shoes. Specifics are listed below.
1. Any dress tie.
2. Any oxford-style shirt with sleeves (long or short). Shirts must be long enough to be tucked in and stay tucked in.
3. Any modestly-styled sweater, worn over an oxford shirt.
4. Closed-toe non-athletic shoes are required. Slippers or Crocs are not allowed.
6. Classic fit solid color pants such as those from Land’s End, LL Bean, or Gap. Cropped, Capri, cargo, denim, or carpenter pants
are not acceptable.
7. Belts must be worn.
6. St. Luke’s School-sponsored fleece vests or jackets that have a St. Luke’s School logo. These can include SLS jackets for
sports teams and other activities, and the general SLS jackets that can be purchased through the School Store. All vests and
jackets must have the SLS logo.
Impressions:
OXFORD STYLE is not specific. If you search for oxford-style shirt you come up with all the styles of shirts that our students wear. My suggestion is OXFORD-CLOTH shirt which is a very specific type of shirt.
"modesty-styled" sweater is also not specific. Modesty can be different for different people.
"classic fit" pant is ambiguous. Should read solid color "chino style or khaki style pants".
"furry" mocks - RUBBER SOLED "SHOES" - should say No sneakers
